The R3EDS duo is an oboe and clarinet duo with a dedication towards re-envisioning and expanding this genre. With a desire to share new music of our generation, they have performed throughout the world. Formed in Hartford, Connecticut they have played as far away as Reykjavik, Iceland. As featured artists, they have also performed in multiple collaborative recitals. They are actively seeking new works, and have commissioned composers such as Jessica Rudman, Feng-Hsu Lee, Adam Cuthbert and Kyle Wernke.
Alexander S. Kollias made his New York City solo debut in 2011, at the National Association of Composers USA. Kollias has performed across the world in venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Winter Garden, in the World Financial Center, in New York, the Yokosuka Arts Theatre in Japan, and Harpa in Reykjavik, Iceland. Kollias has recorded on two previously released CD’s with the GVSU New Music Ensemble, Music for 18 Musicians and In C Remixed, both receiving much critical acclaim. In 2012, Kollias was a winner of the Paranov Concerto Competition with his performance of Scott McAllister’s Black Dog. An active chamber musician, Kollias is the principal clarinetist for the Hartford Independent Chamber Orchestra, and performs regularly with the MAF Woodwind Quintet. Along with being a member of the The R3EDS, Kollias is also a member of the Silver St. Trio. Kollias is currently studying with the highly regarded clarinetist and pedagogue, Ayako Oshima, while pursuing a Doctorate of Music degree at The Hartt School.

Ling Chun Yeh has performed with various large ensembles, orchestras, and chamber groups throughout the world including the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia. Yeh’s most recent awards include winner of the Paranov Competition and the Performance 20/20 Honors Chamber Music Program through The Hartt School. Yeh was awarded the Kaplan Fellowship from the Bowdoin International Music Festival. Being an active orchestra musician, she is currently the principal oboe of West Hartford Symphony Orchestra. Yeh is also a member of The R3EDS, a clarinet and oboe duo with clarinetist Alexander Kollias. Ms. Yeh has also worked with the Imani Winds, Ayako Oshima, Marc Goldberg, James Austin Smith, Gillian Rogell and Humbert Lucarelli in her chamber music studies.
